Situated east of Hermanus, 5km from Gansbaai and a one-and-a-half-hour drive from Cape Town in the quaint village of De Kelders. Anlo Guest House has panoramic views over the world-famous whale-watching waters of Walker Bay.

Five luxury ensuite bedrooms. All have been individually decorated, giving each their own unique character and appeal. Hair-dryers, ceiling fans, electric blankets and tea and coffee trays. Underfloor heating is standard in each of the rooms. Four of the bedrooms have magnificent sea views Delicious breakfasts are served and traditional South African dinners are available on request. Guests can keep a look out for Southern Right whales in the bay below or go on a whale-watching excursion and view other whale species, seals, penguins and marine bird life. Boat based whale watching trips, Great White Shark excursions and day trips asrranged. French spoken.

A luxury suite upstairs consisting of an enormous bedroom with stunning seaviews, private lounge and full ensuite bathroom. The bedroom is spacious, light and airy with a kingsize bed (extra lenght and width), air conditioning, reading corners and balcony from where you have the most amazing view over Walker Bay and the surrounding mountains. Whale watching in season from the balcony. The private lounge offers DSTV, a DVD player, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom is heated and offers a bath, double basins and seperate shower.

Room 1 of Room 5, offers twin/kingsize bed, ensuite with shower, underfloor heating and all guest amenities.

Room 2 of Room 5, offers a double-bed and ensuite with a lovely corner bath, TV , underfloor heating and all guest amenities.

A large private patio and private entrance. The garden court also offers a thach roof lapa where we entertain our guests to a real South African braai or home cooked dinners. The lapa is ideal for workshops and conferences.

Directions

Coming from Cape Town drive over Sir Lowry Pass towards Hermanus. At the Botriver turn-off continue on the R43 through Hermanus and pass the village of Stanford. Follow the road to Gansbaai and at the very first signpost De Kelders turn right towards the sea. Anlo is on the right hand side.

Coming along the N2 follow the R326 to Stanford and continue from there to Gansbaai as above
