Chandelier Game Lodge & Ostrich Show Farm is located between the lush green Garden Route and the wide-open spaces of the Klein Karoo, with the Outeniqua and Swartberg mountains as backdrop. Chandelier is easily accessible, next to the N12 (Route 62), and is an ideal base from which to explore the Garden Route and the richly diverse Klein Karoo and Route 62. The lodge is 7km from Oudtshoorn and 48km from George and George Airport. The luxury, en-suite, tented chalets, placed on wooden decks, offer a unique bush experience. Great care has been taken to assure privacy and spectacular views. Guests can enjoy the famous ostrich-tour and ostrich-riding, and adrenalin-filled quad-bike safaris in the 3 500ha game reserve, which hosts 24 species of game. A unique feature of Chandelier is our luxury en suite tented accommodation. The tented chalets offer a unique bush experience – quality is in the detail. The chalets are placed on wooden decks in the bush and great care has been taken to assure privacy and spectacular views.At Chandelier we are very privileged to a have diverse eco-system, including succulent Karoo, Cape “fynbos” as well as river bush veldt. The unspoilt area attracts many species and patient bird watchers are highly rewarded. Species like the African Fish Eagle, Secretary Bird, Martial Eagle, Black Eagle and Blue Crane have been spotted. The Chandelier Bush Camp, sleeps up to 60 people, is ideal for team building for the bigger groups. The very basic accommodation is also available for school groups etc. We combine the team building with a seminar, if requested. We tailor make each conference and team building event according to the requirements. Don’t miss out on our unique Sundowner Bush Dinners. Finish your day with us as we take you on a late afternoon game drive to our bush lapa. On arrival we welcome you with sundowners and a true Klein Karoo atmosphere. Watch the picturesque setting as we prepare a traditional 3 course African meal on the fire. As the evening sky switches on its chandelier of stars we dose the lights and take you for guided star gazing. After this we leave on a spotlight nightdrive and end up back at the main camp.
