Designed in 1804 by the French architect, Louis Thibault, the Drostdy Hotel has been beautifully restored. Antique furniture, period prints, art and lush gardens make the Drostdy a true oasis in the Karoo.
The restored slave quarters house the comfortable en-suite bedrooms, which are equipped with air-conditioning and TV. The nostalgic Court Room offers a table d'hôte menu of traditional South African dishes, and the warmth of the yellowwood floor and romantic elegance of the candelabra create a special ambience.
De Camdeboo Restaurant has an à la carte menu, complemented by a wide selection of wines from the cellar. Guests can relax in the informal 19th century-style Kromm’s Inn, which serves light pub fare, or enjoy an after-dinner port in the tranquillity of De Voorkamer.
