This country homestead was built by the owners, Pedro and Rose Michaletos, using natural rock, thatch and heavy timber. The surrounding 200-acre safari park is home to lion, cheetah, antelope and a successful wild dog and cheetah breeding program.
At night, guests can hear the sounds of the spotted hyena, jackal and the roar of the lion. Each of the suites has a lounge and 23 of the rooms lend extra warmth with private fireplaces. International cuisine and Sunday buffets are served in the elegant à la carte restaurant.
Activities include walking trails and game-drives, and golf at the adjoining Silver Lakes Country Club. The stone-and-thatch chapel is ideal for weddings, and the 12 conference venues cater for between three and 250 delegates.
