Tucked away in the Sabie River Valley among indigenous forests, Gecko Lodge is an ideal base to explore the Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrim’s Rest. The 27-roomed lodge is owner-managed and the focus is on comfort, quality service and good food. Activities include safaris in the Kruger Park, guided nature walks, golf, aerial cable-trail, horse-riding, quad-biking, river-rafting, hot-air ballooning and a visit to a Shangaan cultural village. Guests can also soak up the sun at the rock pool. Dinners are served in the dining-room or under the African sky. Gecko Lodge is an ideal venue for an intimate wedding or a function for up to 60 guests. There is a small wedding chapel on the property. Guests can relax in the secure landscaped gardens, or refresh with a cocktail on the terrace next to the swimming-pool. The hotel is only 12km from the Kruger National Parks Phabeni Gate.

Gecko Lodge is situated approximately 3km from Hazyview on the R536 (Sabie / Hazyview Road).

From Johannesburg take the N12 to Witbank and onto the N4 to Nelspruit (from Pretoria, take N4 through Witbank to Nelspruit).

At Nelspruit, take the R40 through White River and onto Hazyview. The lodge is approximately 75km from Nelspruit.

Take R40 through Hazyview - over two sets of traffic lights followed by one stop street intersection. At the second stop street intersection after the last traffic light (Perry's Bridge Shopping Centre will be on your left), turn left onto the R536 to Sabie.

The entrance to Gecko Lodge will be on the right hand side of the road, 2.5km from the intersection.

Follow the gravel road all the way down the hill to our main gate.
