Situated in the Amatola Mountains, the Hogsback Arminel Hotel has been a favourite breakaway and wedding destination for generations. Completely renovated during 2004 in its original style, the hotel has been equipped with larger public areas and additional bedrooms. Conference facilities now cater for up to 100 conference delegates or up to 68 wedding and banqueting guests.
All 34 bedrooms have their own covered patios, which lead onto the hotel's gardens. The cosy pub, the Hog & Kat, provides an ideal place for pre- dinner drinks. Dinner is an indulgence in traditional country cooking, complimented by an extensive selection of South African wines. Facilities and activities include a swimming-pool, tennis court, birding, garden and mountain walks, mountain-biking and fly-fishing.
Our large, thatch-roofed, air-conditioned conference room boasts a huge fireplace, its own bar and washrooms, an intimate minstrel's gallery (which makes an unusual breakaway area) and quaint, cottage-pained windows with inspiring views of the Hotel's famous gardens.
