Indigo Bay Island Resort and Spa is located in a protected bay on the island of Bazaruto in Mozambique, part of a Marine National Park. This unspoiled African island offers kilometres of sandy white beaches, crystal-clear azure seas, superb coral reefs, soaring sand dunes, exuberant bird life and abundant marine life, including big-game fish such as black marlin. A choice of accommodation is offered. Softly fringed thatched roofs allow the beach chalets and bay-view rooms to blend in with the natural surroundings, and the interior finishes complement the ambience and beauty of the location. Activities include some of the world’s best diving, deep-sea and bill-fishing, turtle-viewing, water-sports, horse-riding, island drives, ocean cruises and whale-watching, spa, “Qolf” course, tennis-courts and rock pools.
On arrival at Vilanculos Airport, you will be met by a representative from Indigo Bay who will assist you with clearing customs and immigration prior to boarding the air shuttle. Secure, covered parking is available if you are travelling to Vilanculos by road. For safety reasons, island transfers by air or by sea cannot take place after 17h00. Guests’ arrivals affected by delayed flights will be required to stay on the mainland at the expense of the airline and will be transferred to Indigo Bay the following morning. The transfer time to Indigo Bay from Vilanculos Airport is approximately 15 minutes.
