Inyati is set in 65 000 hectares of unspoilt bushveld within the Sabi Sand Reserve, adjacent to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Sand River allowing for fantastic game viewing from the lodge. Diversity of species and relaxed big game allows for close-up game viewing and photography. With no boundary fences between the Sabi Sand and the Kruger National Park, this Reserve benefits from the great diversity of wildlife found in one of the richest wilderness areas on the African continent along with the additional benefits experienced on a private game reserve.
Take the N12 to Witbank, once you have passed Witbank take the N4 to NELSPRUIT. Once in Nelspruit take the R40 to Hazyview via WHITE RIVER (turn left at the 2nd set of traffic lights as you enter Nelspruit). As you enter White River turn left at the 1st set of traffic lights (there will now be a school on your left), turn right at the next set of traffic lights and continue on this road until you reach a Caltex filling station where you will turn left at the traffic lights to HAZYVIEW (still on the R40). After winding through the pine forests and lake district en-route to Hazyview, you will reach a T-Junction at the bottom of a steep hill, turn left at this T-Junction and follow the road into Hazyview.
Drive through Hazyview, once you have passed under a pedestrian bridge across the road, you will see a large new shopping centre on your right, you will take a right turn here onto the R536 as if you were traveling to the Kruger Gate of the Kruger National Park (if you reach the gate however you have traveled too far on this road).
Continue on the R536 from Hazyview for approx 34km, look out for a sand road to your left that is signposted Newington gate, Sabi Sand. Continue on this sand road passing Mabarhule High School on your left. Shortly after you have passed a road to your right marked Justicia Clinic, you will come across another large Newington gate, Sabi Sand sign on your left. Take a right turn at this sign, you will now have a covered parking area on your left hand side. Follow this sand road for approx 1.4km until you reach a T-Junction, turn left at this T-Junction again following the signpost to Newington gate. Approximately 600metres from the T-Junction you will come across another Newington gate sign, turn left here. 1km from your last left turn, you will reach Newington Gate and the entrance to the Sabi Sand Reserve. Once you have paid your R80 entrance fee and passed through the gate, turn left immediately following the signs to Inyati, Ulusaba, Exeter and Idube. Continue on this road passed Savanna Lodge on your left and Singita on your right.
You will then come across a set of signs showing Inyati, Ulusaba, Leopard Hills and Dulini to your left, follow these signs. Continue on this road, where you will drive over a low water bridge across a riverbed. Once you have passed through the riverbed, you will pass an airstrip on your right. Shortly after the airstrip, you will come across a sign to Inyati on your right hand side, follow this sign to your right and at the bottom of this road turn right into the entrance to Inyati Game Lodge.
