On the edge of the Kalahari, in the malaria-free 75,000 hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, you’ll find Jaci’s Safari and Tree Lodge – a fabulous African safari destination. These two family-owned and family-managed lodges offer the ultimate family escape. Jaci’s Safari Lodge creates a unique and authentic “tented” feel throughout with a mixture of natural stone, shaggy thatched roofs and canvas walls. At Jaci’s Tree Lodge, the “tree houses” are suspended up to four metres above the ground, encompassing giant Tambotie or Leadwood trees, located within the riverine forest. Parents can enjoy quality time with their children as well as reconnecting with each other. Boasting magnificent wildlife, Jaci’s is a blend of exciting adventures, warm hospitality and exceptional service provided by the wonderful staff. A destination that will delight the soul and surpass all your safari expectations!
From OR Tambo International Airport, take the R21 towards Pretoria and continue for approximately 36 km. Take the N1 Polokwane/North and take the Bakwenya Platinum Highway/N4/Rustenburg toll road. Continue on the N4 in the direction of Rustenburg and take the R556/Sun City/Majakaneng turn-off. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp towards Sun City and continue straight to Sun City.
There is no fuel available inside Madikwe Game Reserve, we therefore urge you to refuel at Sun Village/Zeerust. Please phone the lodge when passing Sun City.
After passing Sun City and the Sun Village on the right, continue straight until you reach a four-way junction. Turn right to Derdepoort and follow the road for approximately 8 km, you will see a Jaci’s Safari Lodges sign and soon after will need to turn left at the sign saying Bapong. Continue along this road until you’ve passed through Mabeskraal. After approximately 45 km you will come to a four-way stop where you turn right to Derdepoort. This tar road continues for about 25 km and then becomes gravel, with Dwarsberg Liquor Store on the left. Continue along the gravel road towards Molatedi Village. Do not take the next Derdepoort turning to the right, continue straight. Pass through the Molatedi village, over the Marico River and continue to the Molatedi Gate entrance into the Park. From here the friendly gate staff can give you directions, or just follow the signs to Jaci’s Safari Lodges.
