Gardens is located right above the city centre and is one of Cape Town’s oldest suburbs. The Lady Hamilton, built in the early 1950’s, has a distinct colonial feel and is surrounded by historical buildings. Table Mountain towers above Gardens and the cable car is a short drive away. The city centre by way of the Company Gardens and the historic Parliament is a brisk 15 minute walk away. Follow the N2 to Cape Town (West)
After ± 14.3 km, the freeway forks. Take the left-hand fork and follow the upper freeway - M3 (De Waal Drive). The signs to follow are: “City via De Waal Drive”, “City via Mill Street” and “City via Orange Street”
After another ±3.5 km, take a left-hand turn-off at the “City via Mill Street” sign. The street names change: Jutland, then Mill, then Annandale
± 1.3 km after the “City via Mill Street” turnoff, turn left into Hof Street (Hof street runs up towards the mountain – The “Hof” street name board is located on the center island in middle of the road).
Turn into 2nd street on your right-hand side: Union Street
After ± 100 m you will see Lady Hamilton Hotel on your right-hand side.
