Situated in an acacia grove on the fringe of the Chunga Lagoon, Lechwe Plains Tented Camp comprises six spacious, uniquely constructed tents in Lochinvar National Park. A World Heritage Wetlands Site, Lochinvar is midway between Livingstone and Lusaka.
The area is a bird-watcher’s paradise with over 400 species recorded and contains over 30 000 Kafue lechwe, 2 000 blue wildebeest and numerous other animals. A wide range of cuisine is served, blending local ingredients with international flavours.
Meals are served outdoors where possible and often around a log-fire in the evening. Activities include excursions in makoros, fishing and game-drives, walks on the open flood plains and visits to the local fishing village.
