FROM JHB & PRETORIA take the N4 highway past Witbank to the Carolina turn at Wonderfontein. Turn right to Carolina. Go straight through Carolina and immediately after crossing the Railway line, take the right turn to Oshoek. At the next T- Junction, take left turn and this will bring you to on the border post. South African side Oshoek/ Ngwenya on the Swaziland side. Once you have cleared formalities at the border continue straight to Mbabane. Take exit number 14 to Mbabane and get into the right hand lane then turn right at the first traffic light. At this point the Mountain Inn signage will be quite clear. Follow the signs to the hotel approx 600m. Ngwenya to Mbabane aprox 23km
FROM INLAND NATAL THE BATTLEFIELDS OR DRAKENSBERG, go to Piet Retief. From Piet Retief take the road to Ermelo and immediately outside of Piet Retief take the Houdkop turn off. After 500m you will see a sign Klein Vrystaat, turn left to the border. Proceed through the border and continue on passed Mankayane and down the long and windy hill until you come to a very large traffic circle.Go three quarters of the way around the circle and head for Malkerns.Carry on passed Malkerns, Swazi Candles and Nyanza stables and take the left fork off ramp that pulls you onto the Ezulwini Valley road. Continue passed Lobamba stadium, Why Not Disco, Ezulwini Sun and Royal Swazi Sun. Keep left and take the off ramp onto the MR3 heading to Mbabane. Once on the highway take the number 14 exit to Mbabane city and get into the right hand lane. At the first traffic lights turn right and follow the signs approx. 600m to the hotel. Sicunusa to Luyengo(traffic circle) aprox 52km. Luyengo past malkerns to valley road more than 12 km Malkerns to Mbabane aprox 18km
FROM KRUGER PARK take the Malelane exit of the park and head straight across the toll road to the Swaziland border. On the South African side Jeppes Reef / Matsamo on the Swaziland side. Be Careful of the potholes between the border and Piggs Peak. We have had a number of puncture repairs required due to this road. Proceed through the border and straight through Piggs Peak on to the T-junction at Motshane. ( border to t-junction is aprox 90 km) Take a left here to Mbabane on the MR3 highway. Exit the highway at off ramp # 14 for Mbabane City and get into the right hand lane, then turn right at the first traffic lights. Follow the signs about 600m to the hotel. Matsamo to Piggs Peak aprox 34 km Piggs Peak to Motshane aprox 50km Motshane to Mbabane aprox 15km
FROM ZULULAND, DURBAN OR COASTAL NATAL, follow the N2 north past Hluhluwe, Mkuze and take a right turn to Golela and Swaziland (clear sign post) after the Pongola River but before reaching Pongola. Proceed through the border on the South African side Golela / Lavumisa on the Swaziland side and on to Big Bend. Carry on straight through Big Bend to Manzini. Immediately before Manzini at Helehele you will come to a t-junction. Take a left here to Manzini and on entering Manzini you will come to a traffic circle. Follow the sign to Mbabane going straight through Manzini. After Manzini you will pass Matsapha industrial site, carry on to Mbabane taking the off ramp # 14 and get into the right hand lane. At the traffic light turn right to Mountain Inn about 600m. Golela to Big Bend aprox 64km Big Bend to Helehele aprox 76km Helehele to Manzini aprox 13km Manzini toMbabane aprox 30km Please drive carefully, and watch out for the cows on the road more especially at night.
