The Mount Nelson Hotel is set in nine acres of lush gardens on the lower slopes of Table Mountain, a 20-minute walk from the city centre. The 56 suites and 145 bedrooms are situated within four separate wings.

The Cape Colony Restaurant offers a fusion of Thai and Mediterranean cuisine with a Cape Malay influence, while the Oasis restaurant offers seasonal fare and a wide variety of fresh local fish. The stylish new bar offers a wide selection of champagnes, cocktails and cigars.

The hotel has two all-weather tennis-courts, a gymnasium, golf practise net, heated outdoor swimming-pools, banqueting and function facilities, ample parking, executive and business services, hairdresser and beauty salon.

The hotel has two purpose built fully accessible Junior Suites. The bathrooms have been adapted with wider bathroom doors, a low sink & bath with handrails and open cupboards for easy access. The shower, with a movable showerhead, has been left open, with a chair for convenience. These rooms are situated in Green Park and offer views overlooking a picturesque courtyard with fountain.

19 Deluxe Suites
 

The Deluxe Suites offer twin or king-size beds with a separate bedroom, living, and dining area, a private courtyard, and a balcony overlooking a picturesque courtyard with fountain. A kitchenette/wet bar is provided with small microwave, washbasin, and general kitchen utensils in selected suites.

9 Executive Suites
 

Our Executive Suites are grander and more distinctive than the Junior Suites, offering spacious open-plan lounges and dining areas. With the option of twin or king-size beds and views of either Table Mountain or a courtyard fountain, and all have private balconies with garden furniture. Selected suites also offer a kitchenette or wet bar with a small microwave, hot plate, sink, and general kitchen utensils. These Executive Suites are ideal for families travelling with small children.

19 Junior Suites
 

For guests requiring more spacious accommodation, our Junior Suites comprise of a bedroom with a larger lounge area than our rooms. Some of the Junior Suites offer a separate lounge whilst others offer an open-plan lounging area. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room, and are equipped with a separate shower, bath, basin, and lavatory. Bathroom amenities include a range of exclusive L'Occitane soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The 19 Junior Suites vary in size and most of the suites offer views of Table Mountain, the hotel gardens or a landscaped courtyard.

45 Luxury Rooms
 

Our Luxury Rooms have an understated charm, complemented by modern luxury for the discerning traveller. They are larger in size than Superior Rooms, with more spacious sitting areas. Luxury Rooms also offer a choice of twin or king-size beds. Most rooms offer a view of our magnificent gardens, Table Mountain, or a balcony overlooking a tinkling fountain courtyard. As with our Superior Rooms, guests can comfortably be entertained in a mini-lounge area. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room, equipped with a separate shower, bath, basin, and lavatory. The 45 Luxury Rooms vary in size and are located in the main hotel, Green Park, and Taunton House. Interconnecting rooms are available on request in the main hotel and Green Park.

Our Luxury Suites offer grand living at its finest. These magnificently furnished suites feature a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and most offer an entrance hall, large lounge, and dining room. They are all very spacious and have spectacular views of the garden, pool, or Table Mountain. A guest cloakroom is provided and selected suites also have a wet bar with small microwave, hot plate, sink, and general kitchen utensils. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom which vary in size depending on the location of the room, and are equipped with a separate shower, bath, basin, and lavatory. Bathroom amenities include a range of exclusive L'Occitane soap, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Luxury Suites are located on the outer 'wings' of the main hotel building, the top floor of Green Park, and the Garden Cottages.

The airport is located approximately 20 minutes from the Mount Nelson Hotel and city centre.

Taxis are readily available to and from the airport. Heavy traffic occurs in the morning from 07h00 to 08h30 and in the afternoon from 16h00 to 18h00. There is generally a 30-minute delay to and from the airport around these times. For your convenience, complimentary transfers to the Table Mountain cableway and the Camps Bay area are offered to all Mount Nelson Hotel guests. Bookings must be made with Concierge at least 24 hours in advance.

Directions to Mount Nelson Hotel from Cape Town International Airport: VIA the N2 Proceed from the airport complex and continue in the direction of the N2 highway in the direction of City of Cape Town. Continue along the N2 highway until the M3 highway merges to form 5 lanes of traffic. Keep as far left as possible and proceed to follow De Waal Drive. Continue along De Waal Drive which winds its way along the foot of Table Mountain. As you pass under an overhead walkway, slow down as you need to turn left into Mill Street. Continue along Mill Street, pass the Gardens Shopping Centre on your left. Keep in the middle lane through two sets of traffic lights. Mill Street has now become Orange Street. On your left hand side you will see the pillars of the Mount Nelson Hotel entrance.

VIA the N1 Head north toward Erica Dr Turn left at Stellenbosch Rd/M12, continue to follow M12 Turn left at Voortrekker Rd/R102 Turn right at Vanguard Dr/M7/N7, continue to follow N7 Take the exit onto N1, continue onto Eastern Blvd/N2 Continue onto Buitengracht St/M62 Turn left at Buitensingel St, continue onto Orange St/M3 Mount Nelson Hotel entrance is another 300m to your left.
