Situated in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Rawdon's, with its thatched roof and dormer windows, is within easy reach of the N3. All the rooms are individually furnished with antiques and are equipped with TVs. The Boar's Head Old English Pub has huge log fires and serves pub meals, while the Royal Coachman Restaurant has an à la carte evening menu. The coffee shop provides lighter meals. Also situated on the estate is an Austrian restaurant, The Bierfassl. The hotel also has its own brewery where guests may try a 'tiddly toad' or 'pickled pig'. Facilities include a swimming-pool and two lawn tennis-courts, a bowling-green, a beach volleyball court, a braai area, sauna and a fly-fishing shop. Clinics are available with an in-house fly fisherman. Conference facilities cater for 40 to 80 delegates.
