Sediba is located in the 37 000-hectare, malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, which is home to Africa’s Big Five and is a mere three-hour drive from Johannesburg International Airport. The huge sky and Waterberg Mountains dominate the landscape. The lodge manages to balance elements such as state-of-the-art spa treatments, finest quality linen and funky updates on international cuisine with the timeless organic design of the lodge and the remoteness of the location. Elemental design motifs ensure that the buildings blend into their surroundings. Constructed of natural rock and stone, the buildings are enhanced by an elaborate Zen rock garden. Open fireplaces, towering thatch ceilings, indoor and outdoor showers, private Jacuzzi and king-size beds characterize the 15 luxury private suites.
