An 1886, family-run Victorian farmhouse on three acres of Durban’s prestigious Berea, this charming colonial style guest house has private “broekie-lace”verandahs, tranquil surroundings and ample parking.

Owner-run by caring and efficient hosts, Jan, Sica and Janus Horn, personalised service is ensured for every guest. Sica’s Guest House is a popular conference, function or wedding venue, with our own chapel on the property.

From Pietermaritzburg:

Follow the N3 towards Durban. Pass The Pavilion Shopping Centre on your right. Pass the Spaghetti Junction Inter section. You will see turnoff No 5 Mayville, Sherwood, go past. You will get to turn off no 4 Brickfield, go past. Stay in the left lane and take turn off number 3, reading Ridge Road, Berea, Tollgate Bridge. As you get to the traffic light make a right turn intoRidge Road and go straight over the bridge (highway). Make a 1st right into Charles Stracham Avenue. You will pass Ultra Liquors on the left. Once at the set of traffic lights make a left turn into Bidston Avenue. Carry on up the road for 100 m. The road makes a natural turn to the right, take it, we are 20 m further on the left side.

From Durban City:

Take the N3 Highway towards Pietermaritzburg. Pass turnff no 2, Berea. Take turnoff no. 3 Ridge Road, Tollgate, Berea. As you take the off ramp you have 3 options. Get back onto the highway, stay next to the highway and go underneath the bridge or go up to the bridge. Go underneath the bridge next to the highway. You will get to a stop sign, go straight, you pass Ultra Liquors on the left. Get to a set of Traffic Lights. Make a left turn into Bidston Avenue. Carry on up the road for 100 m. The road make a natural turn to the right, take it, we are 20m further on the left hand side.

From the Airport:

Take the N2 highway towards the North Coast. Take the Durban/Pietermaritzburg (N3 Highway) off ramp. Stay to the right and go towards Durban on the N3. You will see turn Turnoff No 5 Mayville, Sherwood, go past. You will get to turn off no 4 Brickfield, go past.
