Description |
Situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands, the Village Hotel at Spier has marked a new era in luxury. Emphasis has been placed on maintaining the ecological integrity of the wine estate, and where possible, natural materials and resources have been used.
The 155 rooms are situated in Cape-style buildings, some with their own private courtyard and swimming-pool. Spier embodies the diverse heritage of the Cape and Africa by combining wine, food and art in a completely unique way. Visitors are offered a rich experience of delicious food, inspiring art and fine wine. At the wine centre, more than 170 local estate wines are represented, including the Spier range.
Leisure activities on the Spier Estate include golf, horse-riding, mountain bike and hiking trails. A host of African and international stars perform during the annual Spier Arts Festival at the Amphitheatre. There are also raptor and cheetah outreach programmes.
