Description |
Thakadu River Camp is set within the riverine canopy of the Marico on the eastern side of Madikwe and is a community owned tented camp. The 12 tented suites accommodating 24 people each with sliding doors opening onto a private viewing deck over looking the river are decorated in an Afro-Asian Safari feel with the use of natural stone in the main lodge. There is also an eight bed satellite camp – Little Thakadu – with its own private lounge, dining area, plunge pool and its own private vehicle, ensuring privacy and exclusivity for small groups and families. The tents are large and spacious. Thakadu is part of an eco-tourism partnership between the reserve, the Madikwe Collection and the Molatedi Community and has a proud and vibrant atmosphere.
