Description |
Thatchwood Country Lodge is situated at the entrance to the village of St Francis Bay and overlookis two golf-courses. Thatchwood has a relaxed home-from-home atmosphere. On warm summer days the poolside beckons, and the cosy lounge invites friendly conversation around the fireplace in winter. The lodge is fully-licensed and guests are invited to help themselves at the honesty bar. Superb buffet breakfasts are served in the enclosed patio, surrounded by the indigenous garden and prolific birdlife. The nearby golf-course stretches to the sea, providing a tranquil, extended garden to the lodge. Thatchwood is the perfect venue for functions, and has built a reputation on organising weddings for overseas guests.Activities in St Francis include a variety of watersports, walks, hikes and a nature reserve.

Directions to Get There :
After you leave the airport, follow the signs to the N2 motorway towards CAPE TOWN and HUMANSDORP. Once you are on the N2 keep driving for approximately 45 minutes until you see the R330 HUMANSDORP exit. Take this exit and follow the road into Humansdorp. You will come to a stop street with 2 large palm trees and an Engen Garage opposite. Cross over, passing the garage on your left. Drive through the town to a T-junction. Turn left here and follow the road and signs to ST. FRANCIS BAY. When you get to St. Francis Bay, turn left and Thatchwood will be directly ahead of you.
