Perfectly positioned in the very heart of De Waterkant Village, The Charles consists of adjacent historical Georgian houses all linked together internally. The Charles entertains and delights guests with its very own coffee shop and restaurant that offers wonderful breakfast spreads and authentic Cape Malay dishes for lunch. Views from the roof decks and terrace at The Charles, span over the famous V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain and the City Bowl and can best be enjoyed from the terrace at sunset whilst warming up by the fire on The Charles’ famous ‘Braai evenings.’
Follow the N2 towards Cape Town.
| Continue along the N2 for at least 15 - 20 minutes until rises into an elevated right road that rounds the city and then drops down to the first set of traffic lights at the foot of the city. Here the highway becomes Buitengracht Street
| Carry on straight until you reach the 4th set of traffic lights at Strand Street. Here you turn right up the hill, continue through another set of traffic lights and just two blocks further up Strand Street you'll see Ali's Cafe on the right-hand side. Here you turn right into Loader Street and you'll find The Charles reception at 1 Loader Street.
