Whalesong Bed and Breakfast is situated on the Elephant Coast in the heart of the exquisite St Lucia World Heritage Site between Lake St Lucia and the Indian Ocean in South Africa. St Lucia is unique in that it is the only private village in the world that is surrounded by a world heritage site (natural wilderness). This unique village provides the visitor with flexibility, comfort and freedom to come and go with ease. . Come and experience our friendly environment where our intention is to ensure you have pleasant and relaxing experience. We offer four spacious air conditioned bedrooms and the en suite bathrooms are luxurious. Each with it's own patio. Tea and coffee facilities are provided. Our delicious full English breakfast may be enjoyed in the dining room or on the sun drenched patio. Relax and enjoy sundowners by the pool or on the peaceful terrace at the end of the day. Wonderful traditional South African meals are also available by arrangement.

Directions

From Johannesburg:

Take the N2 road to Witbank. Turn off to Ogies, pass through Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Pongola. Continue south along the N2 past Mkuze and Hluhluwe, take the turn-off left to Mtubatuba and St Lucia (R618) as you approach Mtubatuba – turn left towards St Lucia (approximately 25km)

From Durban:

Take the N2 north you have the option of the toll road or the alternate rout via Stanger. 40 kilometers after the turn-off to Richards bay, turn right towards Mtubatuba, as you arrive in Mtubatuba, turn left then right (R618) to St Lucia.

When you arrive in the grater St. Lucia Wetland Park: Pass over the bridges. Follow the road till you reach the traffic circle which is at the entrance to St.Lucia Residential Area. Turn left at McKenzie Street, then right into Beach Road. Kingfisher Street is second Street right and you will find Whalesong on the right hand side.
